Dave came to my house to fix my shower where the water wouldn't shut off. He knew when i called him what the problem was & came out Saturday morning to fix it. He walked me thru the problem & told me what he had to do to fix it & he did. After he was finished he took the time to clean everything up and made sure there were no leaks. The shower works better than ever. He was AWESOME and did a FANTASTIC Job. I would use him again.

I just used this guy's services for plumbing and septic. Wow. VERY IMPRESSIVE! Our plumbing was backed up and coming up through the first floor shower. I called Dave and he came out with one of his associates and immediately traced down the problem. They ran a pipe snake through our system and got the system flowing again. However, it did not stop there. He inspected the septic pipe connection to the house and discovered it had cracked and was blocking 50% of the house drainage. In fact, it had become clogged with toilet paper due to the blockage. The crack in the old iron septic pipe happened due to the house and septic tank settling over a 23 year period. He showed me everything and I took pictures. It became very obvious the drainage was going to need to be replaced as it would be a matter of time before it clogged again. This meant digging by the house foundation, under our wood deck, and replacing the pipe with a newer flexible pipe. They were able to get the entire job done within the morning: Pulling up deck boards, digging to the foundation, removing the old pipe, replacing with new pipe, installing a new clean out, back fill with gravel, AND restoring the deck wood back to new...impressive carpentry skills too. I posted the pictures here on Yelp. Check 'em out. He did a fantastic job on everything. Very professional. Friendly. Great communication. Fast service! He is the best guy to call in McHenry county for plumbing, septic, and sewer.

Dave and his team were professional, courteous and respectful of our home. I had a leak in my kitchen ceiling due to master shower and they fixed/replaced the drain from both the kitchen ceiling and shower in a shorter time than I thought was possible and for less. The first plumber I contacted told me it was a major job and that it was a bad situation and would cost me thousands to repair and remodel. Not only did it not cost a total remodel job, but it was even less than Dave's original estimate. They were able to fix the problem without any major remodel and save me thousands. They wore booties the entire time, even though they were in and out and up and down the stairs. They went over everything they did and had me inspect their work. And, they even suggested a drywall/painter person to fix the gap in the ceiling. I've own a home this home for 30 years and had many repair/maintenance/remodeling people through the years, but never have I ever come across this type of professionalism and courteousness. I highly recommend Dave and his team.

I had the threaded end of a shower arm snap off inside the pipe in the wall. Try as I might, I couldn't dislodge it. I called Dave's Plumbing and they worked with me on a time to come out that next day. Great guys. They were able to finesse the piece out in no time with no need to cut into the drywall. I asked them to take a look at my other shower arm upstairs since I'd been unable to remove it (and was worried it might snap off as well). They were able to replace that for me quite quickly. No one wants to have to call a plumber, but when you do, these guys seem great to me. I will definitely use them again (crossing fingers it won't have to be soon though!). : )

My drain has been running smooth and GD working great ever since. In addition, the ejector pump runs smoothly and quietly. I received my initial recommendation from a fellow home school mom who had used him in the past. We had Dave out to remove our leaking water heater and install a new water heater. He gave me an initial quote over the phone sight unseen. I knew it would cost me more, because I knew I had some extra problems related to it that would need fixing while he was out. He showed up a little late, but that didn't effect my schedule. I knew the job would require more work time due to the extra problems they would incur. He and his apprentice were great, professional, thorough and neat. Neither stopped until they got the job done, and they did it correctly. (Both never took a smoking break either, so I will assume they don't smoke. They both worked right through lunch.) I have been duped in the past by shoddy workmanship and high cost labor, but I was relieved to find that Dave's work was done well and not over priced. He was kind and courteous and even showed me how to ignite the new water heater. I am so satisfied with his work that I am having him quote two more jobs for us: burnt out ejector pump and leaking garbage disposal. From what Dave said, the initial installers didn't install either to code or correctly. He also gave us some great recommendations for other contractors that we will be needing service of in the near future. It was intuition to go with him after talking with him on the phone, and my intuition proved right. He never talked down to me. Great plumber and personality! Job well done!

Unfortunately, discovered a water drip running down the face of our kitchen cabinet. Called Dave and he was out the next day. Turned out that the toilet was leaking at the wax ring (yuck). Many plumbers could have fixed the problem, but the way that Dave fixed it insures that it will not leak again, and if it does, the water will pool on the floor rather than drip down through the ceiling or wall. That's the difference with Dave. You can be assured that the job is fixed correctly the first time and whatever is fixed or replaced is most probably better than what you had before the fix.

Dave deserves more than 5 stars. He installed a sump pump with a battery back-up, an ejector basin pump and lid, a kitchen faucet and a garbage disposal for me. As a woman, I was concerned that someone would try to take advantage of my lack of knowledge on the subject of sump pumps. Dave patiently explained all of my options, the pros and cons of the various models of pumps for my house and purposes and was, at all times, considerate and respectful. He told me that an item that I thought was broken was not and merely required flipping a switch to correct it. He returned to install a soap dispenser in my kitchen, at no charge, because he had promised to do so. The work was performed very well, expeditiously, and the area was left in better condition than when he had arrived. I will not hesitate to call Dave's Plumbing for any plumbing issues I may have in the future (he left his number attached to the sump pump piping for easy access)!
